It remains the only stadium in the world to have hosted the All-Star Game (in 1985), the World Series (twice, in 1987 and 1991), the Super Bowl (in 1992) and the Final Four Basketball Tournament (NCAA in 1992 & 2001). Needless to say, every fan who bought tickets to the Metrodome considers himself lucky and the souvenirs are traded even today. That is not to say that the stadium has been without its problems. There have been occasions when people bought Teins tickets but had to wait for the game to begin. Basically, its problems all largely originated from its roof. At least on three different occasions, tears in the roof have delayed the start of games. All three were in the nineteen eighties and were caused due to heavy snow. Apparently, the owners have solved that problem because it has been more than twenty years since the last tear on the roof. If you buy tickets today, you are quite assured of a game – come rain or shine. If you are a fan, you better buy tickets early because they tend to get sold soon after they are offered.
