The Skins are known for playing hard and delivering cutting edge football each and every time. Whether they are struggling to get ahead or carving out a solid win, fans can expect extreme football action in any game they watch.

The Skins are based in Washington, DC and are members of the National Football League. They are also a part of the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference. They host all of their homes games from the FedEx Field and so far, they have five league championships to their name. The Skins also have twelve division titles and five conference wins.

Out Of Boston

The Skins were initially based in Boston, where the team was established in 1932. The Skins got off to a very rocky start and this was glaringly obvious in the low sales of Redskins football tickets. Despite a marked improvement and a number of notable victories, it looked like Boston just wasn't interested. A resounding win over the Pittsburgh Pirates was witnessed by less than 5000 people. Accordingly, the team was shifted out and moved to Washington in 1937.

Washington was much more enthusiastic about the team and sales of tickets picked up almost immediately. The Skins gained considerable momentum, especially from a player called Sammy Baugh who pioneered the use of the forward pass. But after 1945, the team began to slowly slip. Things were not helped by an ultimatum that was delivered to the team in 1962. Till then, the Skins had refused to integrate the team but they were now threatened with eviction if they didn't. The Skins became the first pro football team to include black players on their roster.

It's A Bling Thing

The Skins proved they were giants on the field, pretty much dominating the eighties and early nineties with Super Bowl wins. But the Skins were about to make football history for a number of other reasons too. Most of them happened under the ownership of a man called Snyder. Snyder had two distinguishing features- he had grown up as a Skins fan and he had made his money in marketing. This combination would lead to a number of decisions that were considered controversial. Snyder had habit of rapidly hiring and firing people. He also allowed the stadium name to be open to corporate bidders. Love him or hate him, the truth of the matter is that he is largely responsible for making the Skins the second most valuable franchise in the NFL today.

Redskins Football Tickets Information

As far as sales of Redskins football tickets go, Snyder can take some credit for that too. Their stadium can seat roughly 91,665 people the largest seating capacity in the NFL. For six years in a row, the Skins have managed to break single-season attendance records in the NFL. Needless to say, it's not always easy to get your hands on tickets.
