Being one of the oldest ice hockey teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs has the honor of winning the Stanley Cups for a record seventeen times. However, the last time when they won the Stanley Cups was for the season 1966–67. That was also the end of the golden era for the team. However, the serious decline started in July 1979.
