The 1980’s came and went without even one appearance in the Super Bowl. In 1992, they won the Super Bowl again by defeating the Buffalo Bills. They repeated the feat the next year against the same team. When the Cowboys won the Super Bowl in 1995 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, they became the first NFL team to win three Super Bowls in four years. They also became one of three teams to have won the most Super Bowl titles with a total of five wins. The Dallas Cowboys also hold the record for appearing the most times in the Super Bowl with eight appearances. Another record they hold is to have the most appearances in the NFC Championships with fourteen. The Cowboys first played their home games at the Cotton Bowl from 1960 to 1971. They then moved to the Texas Stadium in Irving which was built especially for them. They have been playing there ever since. There is a new stadium being built for them at Arlington which is scheduled to open in 2009. The Dallas Cowboys are currently owned by Jerry Jones since he bought in 1989 from H.R. Bright. Their Head Coach is Wade Philips. The Dallas Cowboys do not retire jersey numbers unlike other NFL teams. Instead they have a Ring of Honor which is on display at the Texas Stadium. There are a total of seventeen names in the Ring of Honor of which the first inductee was Bob Lilly in 1975.
