The team are currently based in the city of Indianapolis in Indiana and play their home games from the RCA Dome. The team is a member of the National Football League and the American Football Conference. In its franchise history, they have won eleven Division titles, six Conference wins and five League championships.

Not all fans are aware of how this winning team started out. It was officially born in 1953 in Baltimore out of the ashes of a team called the Dallas Texans. Early on, the team started their career of standing out from the rest of the teams- they were the first team to have cheerleaders, an aspect of football that has since grown to gigantic proportions.

In 1958, they were part of one of the greatest games in football history that was also the first game to use the overtime rule. They went on to become league champions and repeated the feat the following year. By 1968, the team had a record of 13-1 and was considered the greatest pro football team of all time. The team continued to do well into the seventies and tickets became a hot item on the football circuit. By 1977, the team became especially well known for its killer defensive line-up, known as the Sack Pack.

By the eighties, however, hard times had hit in more ways than one. By 1984, the Baltimore lease on the team had run out. Earlier on 1982 had been a bad year on the field and the demand for tickets was definitely on the low side. Added to this was the fact that the stadium needed to be renovated or a completely new one needed to replace it. In the face of all these issues, Baltimore was slow to seal a new deal with the team. In the meantime, Indianapolis was more than willing to take in the team but Baltimore wasn't about to give in that easily. The legislature made arrangements to put a law in motion that would give Baltimore the right to seize the team. But before that could happen, the team owner signed a deal with Indianapolis and the team was moved under the cover of night.

It took a while for the team to find their footing and Colts football tickets were still poor. It wasn’t until 1997 that a player called Peyton Manning changed the course of the team. The team continued to steadily improve and they managed a Super Bowl victory in 2007. The Colts are definitely a kicking team today, so don't miss the chance to see them play live.
