The Canucks have won the division championships on five occasions, including 1974-75, 1991-92, 1992-93, 2003-04, and 2006-07. They have also won The Conference Championships two times – in 1981-82 and 1993-94. General Motors Place is the home stadium of the Vancouver Canucks. This sports arena is located at 800 Griffiths Way, Vancouver, British Columbia. The stadium was opened in the year 1995. Its overall construction cost was estimated to C$160 million. After its foundation, the General Motors Place replaced the Pacific Coliseum as the main venue for events in Vancouver. The stadium is more popularly known as The Garage or GM Place. The Skytrain’s Stadium-Chinatown Station serves the stadium.

The official capacity for an ice hockey game is 18,630 tickets. However, for a basketball game, the maximum number is 19,193. There are 88 luxury suites, 12 hospitality suites, and 2,195 club seats in this arena.

The Vancouver Canucks (NHL) is the only tenant of this arena at present. However, there have been some former tenants, which include Vancouver Grizzlies (NBA) (1995-2001), Vancouver Ravens (NLL) (2001-2004), and Vancouver Voodoo (RHI) (1996).

The $5 million ProStar LED scoreboard is remarkable for General Motors Place. The new scoreboard is counted among four of the largest video displays in the NHL.The stadium was the venue for the 1998 National Hockey League All-Star Game.
